A Common Entrance Test, designated as Engineering, Agricultural and Medical Common Entrance Test (EAMCET) of Andhra Pradesh is conducted by one of the state Universities (as per G.O.Ms. No. 16 Edn., (EC) Department Dt:25/2/2004 and its amendments) for entry into the first year of the following professional courses offered in all engineering and medical colleges including Private as well as minority institutions affiliated to the University of Andhra, Kakatiya, Nagarjuna, Acharya NG Ranga Agricultural, JNTU, Osmania, Sri Krishnadevaraya , Sri Venkateswara and Regional Engineering College for Andhra Pradesh quota seats.

• BVSc and AH/ BSc (Ag)/ BSc (Hort)/ BF Sc/ BTech (FS&T)/ BSc (CA&BM) Courses 
• MBBS/ BDS/ BAMS/ BHMS/ BNYS Courses

Eligibility: Candidate must have cleared Intermediate Examination or appeared in 2nd year Intermediate Examination (10 + 2 pattern) conducted by the A.P. Board of Intermediate Education, with appropriate optional subjects or its equivalent thereto.

Those who have passed Diploma examination or appeared in 3rd year Diploma Examination in Engineering conducted by the State Board of Technical Education and Training, A.P. or its equivalent thereto are eligible to apply for B.E./ B.Tech./ B.Arch, courses.

Candidates with Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry as optional subjects in their Intermediate or its equivalent course are eligible for Engineering (B.E/ B.Tech/ B.Tech (Ag.Engg) / B.Tech (Dairying)/ B.Tech (FST) (MPC) / B.Sc (CA&BM) (MPC) and B. Pharm (MPC) courses.

Candidates with Biology, Physics and Chemistry as optional subjects in their Intermediate are eligible for Agriculture (B.V.Sc., and A.H/B.Sc (Agr) /B.Sc (Hort)/ B.F.Sc/ B.Tech (FST) (Bi.P.C)/ B.Sc (CA&BM) (Bi.P.C) / Medical (MBBS/ BDS/ BAMS/ BHMS/ BNYS) and B. Pharm (Bi.P.C) courses
